Oktober is already over, and new breeding trials will start
in a few weeks and not even the last of my ballpython
clutches have hatched!Last month i got some new racks in
from Jesper from LP Racks, he has put a lot of thought in
develloping these racks and they work perfectly and as far
as racks go these were by far the best option. They are not
only perfect for ballpythons but also perfectly suit the
needs for dwarf boa like f.i. the Onyx.
The much anticipated arrival of the new racks also meant
that i finally could set up another 50 or so 2008 - 2009
ballpython females all of which are double - triple and
quadruppel combo females so with a little luck we should see
some fantastic new mutations in 2012 from these.
Oktober was also an exciting month as some very special
clutches were due to hatch first was a nice clutch from a
Taronja Spider x Butter.
Very excited to see the worlds first Taronja butterbee!!
Next in line was a clutch from the original Taronja
female bred to a Leopardbee
This clutch held some nice surprises and fantastic odds
Taronja, Taronja Bunmblebee, Taronja Pastels and a knockout
Taronja leopardbee hatched.

Next up was a clutch from a lemon pastel het ghost x lemonblast het ghost
I was hoping for a Killerblast ghost like last year, i hit the odds in the
clutch but unfortunotly it had a severe kink, even though this was a big
dissapointment i still managed to get a really nice lemonblast ghost and a
superpastelghost bonus was a really weird looking pastel that was also in the
clutch

Next clutch to hatch was a very special one, at least to me, its from the
Aura project i have been working on for years, it was a project that i knew
had to be genetic the original female was just to special looking for her not to
be genetic!, all that " gut feeling " is fine but it still needed proof that she
actually was genetic. I have been working on this project for a little over 6
years it had a lot of set backs in definig what the genetic condition was with
not hitting the odds in the initial clutches which gave the indication that it
could be a simple recessive condition...bred the "hets" back to mam and each
other...got nothing again...now this takes a lot of confidence not to put the
project to rest as being "not genetic" but she just had that look...
Next she was bred to a spider in 09 and bang there were some really different
spiders in the clutch but no carbon copy of mom... so definately something was
going on just not hit the odds on producing an Aura but the Aura spiders were a
nice start and held the much anticipated confirmation that she was genetic,
repeated the breeding again the nect year with a spider and a leopardbee, well
the spider (different one) fathered the clutch and i produced identical Aura
spiders next to regular spiders but failed again to produce an Aura in the
clutch.

In the 2010 / 2011 breedings she was bred by a leopardbee male solely just to
make sure..and hoping she would produce as by now she was already 17 years old!
Luckily she did and produced a nice clutch and this time i hit the jackpot
hitting all possible odds that i could hit in the clutch, it held Aura, Aura
pastel, Aura Bumblebee which could possibly be Aura leopardbee this one i named "Golddigger" which
seemed a fitting name after all these years.
So finally after all these years the project prooved out as definately being
Dominant and hopefully in the future it will proove to be co dominant

I had several more clutches hatch in oktober which will be listed later, the
first clutch of November has akready hatched...and this one was pretty special
to!.. so check back for the november update.
