Woma
Aspidites ramsayi
Womas are medium sized pythons that do very well in
captivity, very popular but still rare in collections. Our
breeding group consists of eastern specimens, these were
formerly described as "Collaris" but are no longer
recognised as a valid supspecies.
As adults they keep the bright orange head with black
blotches over the eyes and snout that is common in juveniles
and have a pale yellow overal bodycolor with contrasting
reddish brown bands.
They reach an adult size between 140 - 150 cm. Babys from
this line are born with very dark bands and gradually change
to the bright contrasting adult coloration over a period of
18 months.
